I don’t intend for this post to be an exercise in myopicism (is that a word?). I’d like to pay tribute to my husband and children.
I mean it. When the days drag and the dishes sit unwashed in the sink, it helps to remember how much I love them.
My husband volunteered to live with me. And even though he now knows what he got himself into, he still sticks around! If that isn’t a testament to his virtue, I don’t know what is!
He sacrifices and works hard. He’s supportive and giving to me, making an effort each day to see that I’m healthy and happy. He’s a wonderful father to our children. He strives after goodness, after God.
And the kids? Beautiful. Demanding, but beautiful nonetheless. Bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh. Precious souls who make me laugh.
Gratitude starts in the home. Right?
